Anne Hill Bilingual School (AHB) is proud to announce the launch of its first-ever English Speaking Contest, “Stars Speak.” The competition aims to highlight the school’s mission — “Nurturing Global Citizens with Vietnamese Hearts” — while creating opportunities for students across Ho Chi Minh City to showcase their English proficiency, strengthen their public speaking skills, and explore the beauty of cultural diversity.
With the theme “Connecting Cultures – Inspiring Futures,” Stars Speak encourages students to share their unique perspectives on world cultures while honoring Vietnamese traditions. This is not just a contest, but a journey of discovery and a platform to inspire the next generation of global citizens.
Eligibility
The contest is open to Vietnamese students of primary and secondary school age who are currently studying at schools in Ho Chi Minh City. Please note that the competition is exclusively for students outside the Anne Hill Education Group.
Participants may be grouped by age or grade level if necessary, depending on the number of entries received.
Competition rounds
Preliminary Round (Online)
- Time: From 7:00 PM on October 13 to 11:59 PM on October 19, 2025
- Topic: Submit a 1–2 minute video introducing a cultural feature, tradition, or cuisine from any country except Vietnam.
Final Round (Onsite)
- Time: To be held on 15 November 2025 at AHB To Hien Thanh Campus.
- Topic: To be announced after the Round 1 results are published.

Step 2: Record a 1–2 minute video presentation in English and submit your entry in the registration form below and include the public link to their child’s contest video (YouTube, Google Drive, etc.).

The Facebook account used to participate must be active.
The shared post and contest video must remain public until the competition ends.

Judging Criteria
Entries must complete all steps outlined in the “How to Participate” section to be eligible for prizes.
The judging panel will evaluate based on the following criteria:
Content & Structure (30%): Clarity of message, coherence, depth, and relevance to the topic.
Presentation & English Fluency (40%): Pronunciation, intonation, speaking pace, confidence, and body language.
Creativity & Engagement (30%): Originality, appeal, and ability to capture and maintain the audience’s attention.

First Prize: 20,000,000 VND (01 winner)
Second Prize: 15,000,000 VND (01 winner)
Third Prize: 5,000,000 VND (03 winners)
Consolation Prize: 500,000 VND (05 winners)
Rules & Regulations
- By participating, parents agree to grant Anne Hill Bilingual School (AHB) full rights to use any content, videos, images, and text provided for communication and promotional purposes on the school’s official channels.
- Contest videos must be originally created by the participant, not copied, edited, or compiled from others; they must not be photoshopped, cropped, or contain unrelated content.
- By submitting an entry, participants are considered to have read, understood, and agreed to all contest rules and regulations.
- Winners of Round 1 will advance to the Final Round, held live at Anne Hill Bilingual School – To Hien Thanh Campus (268 To Hien Thanh, Hoa Hung Ward, HCMC).
- The Organising Committee may contact winners via the registered phone number to verify their information.
