Hello and a warm welcome to Anne Hill Bilingual School,
My name is Leean Woodland and I am the Cambridge Programme Principal of Anne Hill Bilingual School (AHB). Having lived in Vietnam for nearly 18 happy years, many of which have been in Ho Chi Minh City, after a while working in the UK, China, Egypt. I have a strong background in education as teacher, senior manager, and Principal for over 30 years, working with different age students from Kindergarten to Secondary. I have also taught students of all different abilities, including students with all different types of learning difficulties, main stream students and the very gifted.
At AHB, we teach Cambridge National Curriculum the qualifications being very well known and highly regarded. We believe that achieving the Cambridge qualifications will open doors for our students, whether at other, international schools, or ultimately at collegiate or university levels. With a strong background of the Reggio Emilia approach, we intend to embed the best of these recommendations of best practise, to integrate with our Cambridge programme.
I am confident that this educational method and the direction that AHB is pursuing, taken with the very well known Cambridge curriculum, will lead to high standards of learning and achievements, with this child centered approach leading to high levels of happiness and pride within each individual child. Our aim is for each child to develop a love of lifelong learning which will carry them right through their teenage years into young adulthood and then well into later life.
I am looking forward to meeting you all when I start at the beginning of the new academic year. Do call in and see me – my door is always open wide.
Take care and kind regards,
Ms. Leean Woodland – Cambridge Programme Principal
